Returning To Anaheim Area Conventions? 5 Post-Pandemic Tips

Are you planning to return to an Anaheim area convention in 2022? After a long hiatus, larger conventions are finally restarting and many attendees can once again look forward to spending time furthering their career or enjoying their favorite pastime. But as you plan your convention stay, keep these tips in mind for success.

1. Book Larger Rooms

Many attendees could spend more time than normal this year in their hotel rooms. This may be due to canceled larger events and scaled-back pandemic-area group activities. Or it might be that you're just tired of your mask or wary of spending unnecessary time with crowds. Whatever the reason, plan to enjoy your accommodations more by reserving a suite.

2. Use Area Transportation

Unfortunately, the return of demand following pandemic sell-offs means rental cars are often in short supply. The good news is that you can easily use many other forms of transportation throughout Anaheim. From the local ART public buses to hotel and airport shuttles, you can get around the area inexpensively. Go farther afield by connecting with Metrolink and Amtrak trains through the ARTIC center.

3. Come Early or Stay Later

Do you have a pent-up desire to get out and enjoy dining, entertainment, or travel after two years of pandemic life? Then reserve your hotel room one, two, or three days early or stay a few days after the convention is over.

Anaheim offers a wide variety of options, including two Disney parks. Downtown Disney, near the convention center, is always free to enter. You can also easily access an array of breweries and wineries, restaurants, upscale shopping districts, and kids' sports parks. The best time to visit many of these is either before convention crowds arrive or after they leave.

4. Plan Ahead

The pandemic has made advance planning and preparation essential. While Anaheim area convention guests used to be able to go to Disneyland on a whim, for example, you must now make an advance reservation.

Similarly, you may find changing circumstances regarding mask usage, Covid-19 vaccination or testing status, business capacity, or even hours and availability. Make your trip more successful by researching activities and confirming advance plans.

5. Focus on Yourself

The last two years have been filled with plenty of worry and stress for many. Whether you're attending a business convention or dressing up as your favorite superhero, focus on doing what makes you happy.

If you want to enjoy crowds again, mask up and do so. Not ready for crowds? Rent a room with a killer view and order takeout. Include splurges in your budget. Find a new favorite restaurant. Or attend a ball game at Anaheim Stadium. The old rules no longer apply, so create your own new normal and enjoy it.

Where to Start

Ready to start planning a great stay in a hotel near Anaheim convention center? Start by touring suite hotels near the convention center today. No matter what you choose, you're sure to have a great return to events.

About Me

Enjoying Your Travels

About a year ago, I was asked by my employer to travel nearly every week. I was really intimidated by the prospect of spending so much time on the road, but I knew that I needed to do it if I wanted to advance my career. It was difficult at first, but after awhile, I became really familiar with travel in general, and I was able to relax a little. It actually became really fun to see new places and try new foods, and I became a little bit of a travel connoisseur. This blog is here to help other people to enjoy their travels just a little more.
